Martin Helmuth Larsen
Martin H Larsen is the founder and Managing Director of EPConsult Energies. Martin is an Energy Executive with significant experience in providing technical engineering assessments, solutions and advisory to clients in the renewable energy and the oil and gas sector. Martin started his career in energy in 1990 after having graduated with an MSc in Marine Structural Engineering. He worked with Bureau Veritas France developing rules software for marine vessel classification. He subsequently performed engineering design for platform structures with Bouygues Offshore (now Saipem) working for Total and Chevron projects. He later joined Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP) as a Field Engineer, stationed in the Netherlands, the UK, the Middle East and the Philippines, working in roles in pipelines, concepts, integrity and project delivery. With EPConsult Energies, Martin is responsible for leading the consulting services practice. Martin supplemented his energy industry qualifications with executive management training from INSEAD.
David Price
David Price is Principal Consultant – Engineering, with EPConsult Energies. A Chartered Mechanical Engineer, David began his career with Shell in 1973, and has since worked in many locations worldwide. His expertise covers conceptual engineering and field development planning, including early field development studies for the deepwater Malampaya Field in the Philippines, subsea and deepwater production systems, and North Sea asset integrity and life extension. His diverse career with both operating and service companies has given him a solid understanding of the risks associated with engineering and project management in remote, harsh environments, from the hot, dry deserts of the Middle East, to the arctic climate of the NE Caspian. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Jane Peatie
EPConsult Energies are delighted to announce a new addition to our Leadership Team. Jane Peatie is a Chartered Engineer with 17 years of international experience across the oil and gas project life cycle as a Development Engineer, Project Manager and Process Engineer. Jane’s international experience with BP and Shell spans the entire project life cycle both onshore and offshore. Career highlights include the Quad 204 project and the Puffin HPHT development both in the UK North Sea, the Azeri-Gunashli-Chirag Future Development project in Azerbaijan and the K15-FK project in the Dutch North Sea. Jane is currently providing Development Engineering and project management support to our client Cuadrilla Resources Ltd. Her main task is leading the Front-End Engineering Design of a new test shale gas processing plant. Jane will also be leading our exciting new Investment Strategy support service which seeks to support our clients in assessing and developing new oil and gas business opportunities.
William Venn
William Venn is a Principal Consultant with EPConsult Energies. William started his career in the offshore oil and gas sector industry in 1977, working on the Forties Field, having graduated with an BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology from Imperial College, London. He subsequently spent 15 years with BP in North America and the UK as a Development Engineer. Since 1993 William has worked primarily as a consultant in HSE and risk assessment. Prior to joining EPConsult Energies, William worked for Aker Kvaerner as Head of Safety Engineering. William is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Phil Davis
Phil Davis is a Principal Consultant with EPConsult Energies. Phil has more than 30 years' experience in the oil, gas and chemical industry, onshore and offshore, having worked both for clients and contractors including Brown & Root, J P Kenny and Shell. His experience covers many geographical areas ranging from the North Sea to South East Asia, and he has worked in France, Norway, Nigeria and the USA. During his career, Phil has had responsibility for various aspects of project execution ranging from procurement and contracting to project control and estimating. With EPConsult Energies, Phil is the lead for cost estimation and development planning. Phil is also highly experienced in risk management and project management.
